Thank you to the Martha’s Vineyard Agricultural Society for co-sponsoring our most recent Cup of Karma afternoon of stories at the awe-inspiring Ag Hall on July 21st! The is event was a bucket list day for me as the Ag Hall is such an important part of all of our lives here on Martha’s Vineyard.

Thank you to every one who came out to enjoy delicious food and drink representing the world of farming on Martha’s Vineyard and beyond.

I am so grateful to these five stunning storytellers shown above: Kaila Allen-Posin from Allen Farm, Kate Woods from Beetlebung Farm, Jim Athearn from Morning Glory Farm, me, Juli Vanderhoop from Orange Peel Bakery, and Cecilio Neto (not shown) from Amazonas Carpentry (and his amazing ox Chilmark who also joined us!)

Special thanks to Lucy Grinnan from the Ag Society who helped orchestrate this event from day one, my husband Brad Simpkins who always shows up in so many ways for me and Cup of Karma, to Justin Simpkins for tech support and incredible film work documenting the day, To Molly Conole and Mark Lovewell for beautiful music before the show, To the gorgeous artist Denae Lenda who painted while the storytellers spoke, to photographer Caroline Thornton for her lovely photos, Val Cakes for unbelievable sweet treats and to my good friends Eileen and Wayne Grant who came in from Racine Wisconsin the day before and jumped right in to help us with open hearts and hands!
